Event description:
The late Byzantine village of Kastania boasts ten churches from the 12th to the 15th centuries, a post-Byzantine tower,economic and social structures of the village through an examination of the remaining evidence (architecture, sculpture, painting and inscriptions)and recreates the administrative, religious, and artistic relationships with the main administrative centers of the period initially in Monemvasia and subsequently Mystras.
